There was plenty of criticism of Lieke van Lexmond because she had returned to work so shortly after giving birth. And of course she doesn't mind that criticism. She has therefore clearly reacted to it in the media. 'Leave me alone', 'I am a dear mother', says van Lexmond.
Four weeks after giving birth, she was already 'ready' to start recording the Everyone Dance Now. A bit faster than planned because these recordings were put forward by RTL. Lieke van Lexmond herself indicates that luckily she recovered quickly after giving birth, so this was not a problem in itself.
Of course her son was still very young and she couldn't just hand it over to a babysitter for 3 days. She had therefore found her mother, mother-in-law and sister willing to lend a hand and little Vik could just go to work so that breastfeeding was no problem.
Now there was a lot of talk about it on social media and she has received a load of criticism that you say to her! My position is always that we should respect each other (and each other's choices) as long as this does not endanger others. It would therefore not have occurred to me to 'find something of this' in the wrong sense of the word. But apparently there are a lot of others who are willing to give their opinion about it.
MamsatWork is secretly a little curious about what her readers think about going back to work quickly after giving birth. Do you want to share your opinion? We'd love to hear from you!
