KION and BliXem are starting a fresh meal service called KION aan Tafel. I would almost take my child to daycare again for it;). Pick up your child at daycare after a busy day at work, and be able to take your dinner with you right away. That sounds heavenly, doesn't it? A concept that I think they could implement at every daycare.

With this new service they want to relieve the crowds around dinner. As a parent, this gives you the opportunity to spend more quality time with your family. Anyone who has had a busy, long day at work recognizes the stress of cooking at home. Nagging children hanging from your leg because they are hungry while you are still stirring the pan. Quarrel between the children and a lot of crying; they are tired and you should actually take the rest to spend some time together.
KION and BliXem (the company that provides the catering) have devised the fresh meal service KION aan Tafel for these parents and children. Unfortunately, this only applies to the customers of this childcare organization at the moment 😉 . From now on they can order meals online via www.kionaantafel.nl. The order is then prepared at the childcare location and can be taken home when the children are picked up. AT THE TABLE!
KION aan Tafel's meals are prepared fresh daily by the chefs of BliXem. A vegetarian version is also available for every dish. The meals fit in with the healthy food policy of childcare centers and have been tested by the Parents' Committee of Kloek Children's Center. These parents are enthusiastic about the initiative. “It's tasty and easy and a good alternative on a busy day”.

Order online and pick up at the reception location. There is an overview of the meals on the website. Each meal costs €6 and small children can easily share one meal together. You can easily order the meal online. BliXem then ensures that the meal(s) are ready on the desired day at the reception location of your choice. For the time being, that is on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. For years the busiest days in childcare. Most part-time mothers often choose to work all day on these days, so that they can be home on Wednesday and/or Friday.
The collaboration between KION and BliXem arose from a shared conviction. Both organizations put the social aspect first. KION wants to unburden parents in raising their child(ren). BliXem gives people with a distance to the labor market the opportunity to gain work experience. The proceeds from KION aan Tafel will be returned entirely to BliXem to continue to stimulate this social workplace in Nijmegen. Fantastic, isn't it?

Nijmegen and the surrounding area is therefore covered. But as far as I'm concerned, this is an appeal to all major childcare organizations. Find a partner in crime who also fulfills a social role so that this concept can be rolled out throughout the Netherlands. Good for parents, children and people with a distance to the labor market.
