Men and women have different expectations about the amount of the pension to be received from the employer. For example, 54% of men assume that they will receive sufficient pension from their employer later on. Only a third of women think the same about this. What is also striking is that 43% of men compared to 52% of women expect to receive less AOW than older people now. This is apparent from a survey by Nationale-Nederlanden among more than 1000 respondents.
When it comes to saving, women are active. 61% of women save compared to 55% of men. In the end, men will have more left over at the end of the day, because they save higher amounts than women, according to the research.
