In France, telework is gradually becoming more democratic, so that today 16.7% of French people work from home, more than one day a week. However, this is only a very low rate and compared to our European neighbours, the fact of working from home is still rather frowned upon, not having yet exactly entered into mores... Except that a recent study by Stanford University has just demonstrated that teleworking would be as beneficial for the employee as the company. Yeeeeees!
According to the American journalist Geoffrey James, teleworking would even be THE most effective management strategy. Why ? Because in addition to easily increasing the company's income, employees feel more useful to their box than "classic" employees. The expert supported his remarks with a study conducted by the Harvard Business Review in a Chinese call center. The results showed that teleworkers answer 13.5% more calls than their colleagues in the office. A considerable and very appreciable difference for employers! In addition, these home-based employees appreciate their quality of life, they do not want to leave their post and therefore stay longer in the company. The Stanford University survey highlights another undeniable advantage of telework:the reduction or even the non-existence of sick leave. Yes, working from home can reduce so much stress and even prevent the spread of disease in the open space... So, if you wanted to ask your boss, now is the time!
