One such feature is the ability to encrypt bits of text within a note. It's okay. Instead of typing individual notes, you can select snippets of text that you want to hide. In this way, a note can contain any mix of public text and secret text.
A mundane example might be a special food recipe that has been passed down through your family for generations. Anyone can open your note and read the instructions, but to see the exact ingredient ratios, you'll need the password used to encrypt the text.
The actual text encryption process is simple: highlight what you want to hide, right click and select Encrypt selected text . When prompted, type a password. Done.
