Eko Industries is one of the leading custom zinc die casting companies in the United States. We have exceptional experience in producing quality castings in a variety of industries.
Eko Industries is well known for its choice of high quality materials and customizable solutions, but don't just take our word for it. Quality customer reviews are essential when deciding which supplier to buy from, and we value every review we receive.
One of the most popular products is the aluminum antique copper plating process featuring CuZn technology, a patented alloy coating with superior conductivity and reliability. This coating is made of a mixture of synthetic oils and high quality aluminum which creates an even layer on the surface.
The process begins with applying an anti-oxidation oil to protect the metal surface, then placing it in a plating tank. The product then passes through up to 3 different tanks, depending on the color selection. The last step is to remove the product from the plating tank and heat it with a special oven. This process adds shine and improves its durability, which is perfect for any project.
Custom zinc die casting is a method of making metal castings that uses reusable molds, usually cast iron, and compressed air or hydraulic pressure to produce the parts. Zinc is one of many alloys used in die casting, and regule (tin/lead) alloys are the most common, although aluminum and magnesium are also occasionally used.
The first major component produced with this method was the Custom zinc die casting machine that made this possible. Today, zinc die castings are used in applications ranging from small screws and gears to large electric motors and commercial equipment. The term "die casting" is normally reserved for metal castings that are cast in reusable molds or dies. Zinc die casting offers a number of advantages over sand casting, where molten metal is poured into sand to create the mold.
The main advantage of die casting over sand casting is that it allows for faster production time and higher output per worker – an average worker pouring castings into sand can produce around 45 kg/h ( 100 lb/hr), while a mold worker could produce over 2,300 kg/hr (5,000 lb/hr). In addition to time savings due to the significant increase in production, zinc die-casting parts are stronger and more resistant to cracking or wear than parts produced by sand casting.
Zinc die casting is also ideal for producing parts with fine detail and high precision; both of these features contribute to the complex and precise geometry required for parts such as camshafts, small gears and other components used in motor vehicles.
-Die casting uses only the most durable alloys, making it an excellent choice for critical metal components that require high strength or precision
-Zinc die castings are resistant to corrosion and other forms of degradation because zinc is naturally resistant to oxidation, which means parts made with this method will last much longer than if cast in sand or other metal
- Ultimately, die casting is simply the best way to mass produce parts that require low volume production times. The reason so many companies choose this option is because it is the most cost-effective way to increase production and meet demand quickly.
