It's time for the tax return. From today until May 1, Dutch people can file their tax returns again. This takes on average less time for women than for men. Just over 1 in 4 women (25.1%) is done with it within half an hour. In addition, almost 6 in 10 (58.4%) say afterwards that filing a report was not that bad. Some of the women do think it is time for a reward. 15.7% make a moment of it by buying a treat or by doing something fun. This is apparent from a recent study by the Tax Authorities.
A vast majority of the women (82.7%) who file the tax return themselves appreciate the fact that the Tax and Customs Administration has filled in a lot of information in advance. More than 65% of the women are not afraid to file a tax return. Except when their personal situation changes due to, for example, a divorce or buying a home. A small minority (45.3%) is then more reluctant to file a tax return.
While people generally often choose the early evening hours as their favorite time to report the crime, women indicate that they prefer to do this during the day:almost 4 in 10 women (39.1%) find the most suitable time to report the crime during the day.
A vast majority of women (82.8%) plan to file their tax returns shortly after March 1. Most of them succeed in this plan, although 15.7% indicate that they actually let it depend on the last minute.
