Microsoft recently announced a new OneNote feature that will come in handy for anyone who uses the app for math work. The Mathematics Assistant You can now create graphs from handwritten equations, allowing you to instantly visualize them.
First, use your finger or pencil to draw an equation, like y =x + 5 . Then click the Lasso Tool From the toolbar and draw around the full text of the equation. Select the Draw tab and then the Maths button. You will see a dropdown box in the resulting right sidebar - select Plot in 2D to generate a graph.
You can then change the values in the equation using the boxes below, or change the zoom level with the zoom buttons. To finish, click Insert into page to add a screenshot of that chart to your current work area. This allows you to remember how one equation looks compared to another, save an important equation to share with others, or just play with numbers.
