More than 80% of all Dutch employees are generally satisfied with their lives. However, 40% is dissatisfied with the overall picture of his work. Employees are generally least satisfied with their salary (68% dissatisfied) and most satisfied with their colleagues (77% satisfied). Managers are less well off:on average, four in ten employees are dissatisfied with their manager. Dissatisfaction is an important reason to look for a new job; 53% of the Netherlands hopes to find a new job within 12 months. This is apparent from the results of Monsterboard's annual wage guide.
Marketing and communication employees are the least satisfied with their salary (only 21% are satisfied). The percentage is 30% for construction workers. Within the financial sector and the ICT sector this is slightly higher:37% and 38% respectively. In terms of job security, MarCom employees do score high. No fewer than 93% are happy with the security of their job. This also applies to 88% of IT professionals. In construction this is 67% and job security also scores well in the financial sector, at 76%.
