What do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm sure you've heard this question many times in your life. But how many people end up becoming what they wanted to be? How many people are satisfied with their profession? It turns out that the majority of employees love their jobs.

People's feelings about their work end up having repercussions outside of the office. A Gallup study found that disgruntled workers cost the United States between $450 billion and $550 billion in lost productivity. Additionally, disgruntled workers may develop health problems. These complications can include loss of sleep, unhealthy weight gain, weakened immune system and ruined relationships.
Companies today have a strong incentive to keep their employees happy. Creating an environment and leadership that satisfies workers benefits both management and the employee. The HR department, in addition to hiring and training, plays a direct role in the general happiness of employees.

Happiness is a hard thing to measure. How do you know if someone is really happy without asking them? EBI asked 2,000 people what they thought of their work. They created a love-to-hate spectrum to determine which demographic is most satisfied with their work. The infographic below summarizes their findings.
