A recent study published by Workmonitor for Randstad France shows that 43% of French people remain reachable by phone and email during their holidays. The survey of 13,500 employees from 34 countries focuses on the impact of work on private life. This figure places the country slightly below the international average where 47% of employees say they remain available during their holidays.
Asia on the front line
Those are the most workaholic Asians. The Chinese are 81% not to want to cut with their professional lives and occupy the first position, followed by the Indians with 78% and the Malaysians with 69% in fourth position just behind the Turks who are 71% to worry about work during their rest.
Smartphones and work do not follow employees only in their suitcases. The French are dependent on their jobs since 46% of them say they respond immediately to professional calls and emails outside office hours.
But there are still 8 out of 10 French people (82%) who easily forget about work during the holidays.
And you, a workaholic or a fan of letting go?
