It's trendy ! Crisis obliges. Besides, we are no longer talking about extra work, but about jobbing. Another new word. And we surf on jobbing sites, a sort of Facebook for odd jobs. As on any social network, we have a profile, we discuss, we are evaluated and rated. It all started from fiverr.com, a site where you sell your marketing/internet skills. The big spot for small jobs all in English.
Where is a side job? On youpijob.fr! (the French version of Fiverr) In terms of odd jobs, you can find everything:help clean up after a party, change a tap, host a birthday party, create a web page… We get out of babysitting and cleaning. On mobile we find the Stootie app (iPhone, Android) which claims more than 120,000 members. What is practical is that we can create an alert around our skills and be informed when someone may need our services, without having to spend every day on the site. The third site, buuyers.com, is positioned between the site for odd jobs and real jobs with offers from professionals and individuals.
We do not believe those who claim to earn several thousand euros without doing anything on the forums. We are wary of all sites that offer to sell at home, especially if before selling we have to buy a “starter kit”. And those who promise to make money without really being very clear about the proposed activity:travail-domicile-complementaire.fr, domicile-et-travail.com, domicileemploi.net, we avoid!
