A study published in the magazine Personality and Social Psychology Review reveals that making friends with colleagues has a positive impact on health and notably reduces the risk of burnout. To reach these conclusions, the data of more than 19,000 people were analyzed. The results are clear:social identification contributes to psychological and physiological health. In other words, bonding with colleagues reduces the likelihood of burnout and increases feelings of well-being. Dr. Niklas Steffens explains that the bond he has established during his research is due to the feeling of belonging that people develop by working in a group and in a good atmosphere. In addition, a happy employee who evolves in a good working environment increases his productivity by about 12%. Everyone is a winner, both the company and the employees.
