Well, last week I confessed that I seem to be a workaholic, so it doesn't sound strange when I say that I don't mind working on holidays at all. But what I actually mean by that is something else.
It's not that I necessarily want to work on holidays, but I mean that working during these weeks is so nice. I felt that way when I was still working for the boss, and I still do! Working on holidays means a bit of updating for me. In these weeks it is a lot quieter with contact moments than in other weeks. You notice that a lot of people are free.
When I was still working for the boss, I noticed that I was clearly less 'disturbed' with questions from colleagues, and now I notice that I have a better chance to clear up some things. I love that. My hubby also finds it no problem at all to be working during these weeks. He too will be updated a little bit .
Put on Christmas music in the background and go with that banana! Of course, music is always possible, but the atmosphere of Christmas music in this time does something extra. As soon as I walk from my desk to the coffee machine, I can hear myself humming along to the Christmas music playing from the living room. Normally I have already received a number of e-mails in the time that I have made my delicious cappuccino, but in the last two weeks of the year it sometimes even happens that I have to check the mail server because I wonder why there is no mail comes 😛 .
Now of course I have easy 'cocks' at the moment, because I work at home anyway, well, I hear you think… then working on holidays is indeed not so bad. That's why I'm curious about you! Do you find it a problem to work at this time of year, or do you enjoy the peace and quiet at work, just like me?
