Definitely, women seem to be better at certain professions than men, and not necessarily the ones you would expect. In late 2016, a study claimed that female physicians had better patient outcomes than male physicians, and similar findings appear to have been made in the corporate world. Yes ladies, we would be better bosses than these gentlemen, and that would be due to a character trait in particular that men lack:involvement. Indeed, a 2015 study conducted among 27 million employees (just that!) and which lasted some 40 years showed that female leaders are more competent because they encourage employees to get involved in their work. And only 3 questions were enough to draw this conclusion (which we are very proud of)!
Among the many respondents, those whose supervisor is a woman were more likely to answer "yes" to the following statements:"There is a person at work who helps my development », « During the last six months, someone at work told me about my progress », « In the past seven days, someone has recognized and praised my good work ". Indeed, it is telling! And it's no small thing when 87% of employees worldwide say they don't feel involved in their work, according to the American statistics firm Gallup . In general, female managers would eclipse men on these points:having appropriate expectations of employees, building relationships, creating a positive work environment and providing employees with opportunities for development. Well, maybe this is not the time to talk about income inequalities between men and women... Hum hum!
We hope that these conclusions will succeed in breaking down preconceived ideas about positions of high responsibility held by women... Congratulations ladies!
