More than four in ten working adults (44%) say their current job has an impact on their general health, and one in four (28%) say the impact is positive. However, one in six employees (16%) report that their current job has a negative impact on their health. Employees who say their work has a negative impact on their general health include people with disabilities (35%), those in hazardous jobs (27%), those in low-paid jobs (26%), who work 50+ hours. per week (25%), and those who work in retail (26%). This is apparent from a survey among more than 1,600 employees.
A number of working adults also report that their work negatively affects their level of stress (43%), eating habits (28%), sleeping habits (27%), and weight (22%).
