Select any file and press the key combination Shift + Z . Now, from the context menu that appears, select the folder where you want to create a link to that (master) file and click Add . That's it! You have created a reference copy of the file in a different location than the actual location of the file. without move the file or duplicate it.
the Shift + Z The shortcut works on both Windows and Mac, as well as folders. Remember that removing the referenced file from one location also removes it from all other locations as they share the same link.
